Affiliate Disclosure: How This Site Makes Money

DrivingForUber.net is free to read. Part of what pays for it is affiliate commissions: when you click certain links and buy something, the retailer or company pays us a small fee. It costs you nothing extra.

Which links are affiliate links

• Product buttons and links in our gear guides and “best for rideshare drivers” pages, such as the “Check price on Amazon” buttons, are affiliate links. We are in the Amazon Associates program, and we may join other affiliate programs for apps, software and services. Pages that contain affiliate links say so at the top.
• Affiliate links are marked as sponsored so search engines know what they are.
• Links to Uber, Lyft, government sites and other sources we cite are ordinary links unless we say otherwise.

How we choose what to recommend

• Reviews first. We build our picks from published tests and reviews by outlets such as Wirecutter, Tom’s Guide, PCMag and Consumer Reports, and we name the reviewer and year when we lean on one. Our guides say “reviewers found”, not “we tested”, unless we actually did.
• Fit for drivers. We pick for what rideshare and delivery drivers need: long hours, heat, constant charging, spills and a phone that must stay in view.
• No pay-to-play. A brand cannot pay to be listed, to rank higher or to change what we say. Commission rates do not decide which product we recommend.
• Prices and stock change. We don’t quote prices because they move. Check the current price and the seller before you buy.

What this site is not

DrivingForUber.net is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart or any other platform. We don’t publish referral codes or sign-up bonuses (see how those offers work).
